Worship

We emphasize that music is a form of worship that can be shown from the inside out.

A Classical Experience with a Biblical Approach

All ACS choir programs are intentionally directed to each child’s spiritual growth. We believe music and song are a form of worship. Introducing students to this concept at a young age, and reinforcing throughout their school career, is vital to their spiritual walk with God. We emphasize that music is a form of worship that can be shown from the inside out.

Our students  will learn advanced sight reading skills, produce a professional-like tone quality, learn valuable communication and leadership skills, will continue to develop solo voices and ranges, and master the performance skills used in a professional setting. Students will sing a variety of works including modern pop and rock, contemporary choral pieces, and classical choral works. The ACS Choir is directed by Mrs. Joy Broussard.

Praise & Worship

Praise & Worship not only requires students to work as a team, but also teaches them to lead others in worship. The Praise & Worship Team meets regularly in preparation to lead during a student chapel service. The importance of leading corporate worship in a school environment is demonstrated through our worship leaders. This is such a huge spiritual responsibility for anyone, especially for students. Students leading students is the goal… allowing God to use these student lead chapel and bring souls to Himself is the higher honor.

Auditions

The Praise & Worship Team has an audition process at the beginning of each semester. The team is selected based upon each students’ testimony, character and skill. Applicants are reviewed by the Administration and the Music & Performing Arts faculty.

Building on skills developed during our Elementary Choir classes, students gain valuable singing experience. Students have the opportunity to lead their peers in worship. We have such a large amount of students that desire to be on the worship team that we have several different worship team groups. Every student on the Worship team has an opportunity to perform in our chapels.
